Green Mountain Audubon Society - An non-profit educational organization dedicated to the conservation of natural resources. GMAS is a chapter of the National Audubon Society .

Lake Champlain Committee - A citizens group dedicated to protecting the natural resources and beauty of Lake Champlainand its surrounding watershed.

Land Trust Alliance - A policy leader, educator and information clearing house for over 1,100 land trusts nationwide.

Shelburne Farms - A 1400-acre working farm, national historic site and nonprofit environmental education center located on the shores of Lake Champlain in Shelburne.

South Hero Land Trust

The Nature Conservancy - The world's largest private, international conservation group. They have protected millions of acres of valuable lands and waters nationally and abroad. Check out their links to other conservation resources.

Vermont Housing and Conservation Board - An independent, state-supported funding agency providing grants, loans and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations, municipalities and state agencies for the development of perpetually affordable housing and for the conservation of important agricultural land, recreational land, natural areas and historic properties in Vermont.
